Since I was very young, I used to bite my nails, so I tried everything to stop. Nothing worked until I started painting them: seeing them neat and with polish kept them away from my mouth. Years have passed, but I have gotten used to seeing my hands beautiful and nails well cared for, and today, I feel very strange if I don’t have them done.
My great discovery was, a few years ago, the semi-permanent manicure. In this comparison, I used the same polishes with all lamps; my current favorites: for hands, the Semilac One Step Hybrid 3 in 1 in the Rose Beige tone, which needs no base or top coat and only requires one coat to look good; and for feet, the Black Diamond tone from the same brand, which does need to be accompanied.
Thus, I was able to evaluate the following aspects:

Why we recommend it: it is different from all the others because its light is red! I didn’t really know how this benefits until I started testing it, but I discovered quickly: red light does not polymerize (does not cure the polish). And I found out trying to do it. This light offers a treatment to care for and rejuvenate the hands. In fact, there is even a time option (360 seconds) to use it. Actually, I preferred to use the pink light mode, which combines red light with traditional blue light, so it dries the polish while caring for the skin. I noticed it is gentler than blue light alone: sometimes when I do my manicure and put my hands under the lamp, it feels like burning, and with this, it almost never happened. And I can say that never when I pressed the ‘low heat’ button, which gradually increases power. It takes longer, though.
Besides, I highlight that with it I get uniform curing over the entire nail, even when there is a bit more product in some areas, and with dark colors. It has several preconfigured timer options that allow adapting the time to the product used in each case, it activates automatically in the last setting when putting hands in, and it has a counter that helps to know at all times how much time is left.
Its weak points: the cable is not very long, and I had to use an extension to place it on the table.

Who it is for: users who need a fast curing lamp for UV gels and acrylic gels.
Why we recommend it: it was the lamp I used to rebuild one of my toenails with acrylic gel, since due to an accident last summer I lost a nail and, for now, it has not fully grown back. In this regard, I have to say that 60 seconds under the lamp were enough for the nail to cure and to be able to apply the semi-permanent polish. Its mode of use is very simple: when you turn it on, the light activates automatically, but you press the button again and it turns off. Then, I chose the timer: 60 seconds for the gel, but 30 seconds for each coat of polish. So, every time you put your hand or foot inside, it activates; and it turns off automatically when you take them out. On its touch screen, you can see at all times how much time is left.
I find its base design more comfortable than the other Semilac model tested in this comparison. It slides less on the table or floor (where I usually place it when doing my toenails), and I’m not ‘afraid’ that the LED/UV light could damage surfaces. In any case, it can be disassembled. After doing hands and feet, it barely heated up.
Its weak points: it is somewhat narrow and both hands fit very tightly; both feet cannot be put in together.

Why we recommend it: using this lamp seems very comfortable to me. It uses dual LED technology that combines two types of light so the lamp hardens all products reliably, quickly, and evenly, and it has a very comfortable bridge-type design: I can put both hands in at the same time; not feet. It only has three buttons depending on the time you want to use: 30 seconds, 60 seconds, and 99 seconds (this is a low heat mode). The best is that the whole use is very smooth. Once plugged in, when you put hands or feet inside, it activates automatically without pressing any button with the last time setting used and a small screen activates showing the countdown with the remaining seconds. Its power is 24W/36, so the curing time I needed with my polishes is 30 seconds.
Its weak points: it is the simplest model of the brand, but more than enough for domestic use.

Who it is for: for those who need curing options of just a few seconds.
Why we recommend it: it has four time options to select from: 15 seconds, 30 seconds, 60 seconds, and 90 seconds. It uses dual UV and LED technology and 48W of power, so the setting I always used is 30 seconds. The build quality is somewhat lower than the winner and it is also a bit narrower, and I had difficulties putting both hands in and drying nails at the same time. Its use is equally simple: just put hands or feet inside for it to activate automatically in the last used setting.
Its weak points: the buttons to select time are located on the back, so access is difficult and you have to turn the lamp around to operate them.

Who it is for: people who want a lamp that is easy to carry.
Why we recommend it: its design includes a handle, so it is more comfortable to carry than other models. It has a power of 280 W, and in my tests, I found that with 30 seconds the polishes cure, but the polish chips earlier than with other lamps. In fact, the brand recommends a bit more time: between 60 and 90 seconds. It also has a shorter timer, 10 seconds. The interior is leather, very soft, and the rest of the device is plastic. When I used it to do hands and feet consecutively, I noticed it got a bit warm.
Its weak points: both hands (nor feet) do not fit at the same time.
