Feijóo travels this Monday to Almería after the devastating Los Gallardos fire
The leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, will travel this Monday to Almería, where he will hold a meeting with the president of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, after the devastating Los Gallardos fire.

Four residential areas in Querol (Tarragona) evacuated due to the Aiguamúrcia fire
Civil Protection of the Generalitat of Catalonia sent this morning an ES-Alert message ordering the evacuation of four residential areas in the municipality of Querol (Tarragona) due to the fire declared yesterday in Aiguamúrcia, which remains active.
The message, sent shortly before 7 a.m. at the request of the Generalitat Firefighters, orders the evacuation of the residential areas of Ranxos de Bonany, Can Llenes, Can Joan de la Costa, and Les Cases de Romanill, between 7 and 9 a.m. Civil Protection specifies that the expected return to the homes in these residential areas will be late in the afternoon.
According to Civil Protection, there is no imminent danger from the fire, so it asks residents for an orderly evacuation and to take documentation, medications, and pets. It also instructs residents to leave the house and windows closed, and the plot open.
The fire declared yesterday afternoon in Aiguamúrcia (Tarragona) has burned more than 114 hectares of forest vegetation in the Vall de l’Infern and has entered the municipality of Pontons (Barcelona). The fire forced about 2,500 people from the municipalities of Aiguamúrcia, la Llacuna, Pontons, Querol, and Torrelles de Foix to be confined yesterday, confinements that remain in place so far. (Efe)

A town that sweeps ash does not return to normal in four days

These are now the views from their home, on the outskirts of Bédar (Almería), the town most affected by the Los Gallardos fire and which they could not return to until this Sunday. The landscape in the town center is not much more hopeful. An English woman sweeps ash on the porch of her white house and her granddaughter complains that “politicians don’t understand anything.” Among the town’s residents, emotions mix. Anger, because they are tired of the press questions and, as with these two women, they no longer give their names or agree to photos. Sadness for the loss of the 13 people who are no longer here (the last confirmed this Sunday, in the hospital) whose bodies were found completely burned. The helplessness of feeling that no one did anything to save them.

When Juan Cremades (Almería, 57 years old) was driving from work to his home, a scattered house in the Almerian municipality of Bédar, and first spotted the smoke column rising on the horizon, he estimated that the danger was far from his property. Upon arrival, he confirmed that the flames came from the ridge of a mountain to the west, and within minutes he saw how his residence was surrounded by the deadliest fire in Andalusia. “I grabbed my documents, a toothbrush, and a couple of shirts. I called my animals to get them into the car and get out of there, but the fire advanced so fast that it was already at the edge of my land and blocked the only exit,” Cremades recounts. “At that moment I understood that I couldn’t leave, and I decided I had to stay in the house.”
