The holder of position 9 of the Instruction Section of the Valencia Court of First Instance, on duty, has ordered the provisional imprisonment, communicated and without bail, of the 35-year-old woman arrested for allegedly killing a 45-year-old man in a bar in the city last weekend after seeing him sitting with his ex-partner in the hospitality establishment.

The detainee is under investigation for a murder offense, without prejudice to further qualification, according to the Superior Court of Justice of the Valencian Community (TSJCV). The judge will now recuse himself from the actions taken in this case during his duty in favor of his colleague from position number 7 of the Instruction Section, who had already opened preliminary proceedings for these facts previously and is competent to continue the investigation.
The man died after being stabbed during a fight on the terrace of a bar in Valencia and the National Police arrested a woman shortly after, accused of a homicide offense, according to the police force.
The events occurred around midnight in an establishment located on dels Jurats street, in the L’Olivereta neighborhood, near the General Hospital of the capital.

A citizen security patrol arrived at the scene at 00:05, after receiving the alert about the assault. The officers later located and arrested the woman, of Spanish nationality, at a home in the same neighborhood.
The victim, of Peruvian nationality, was taken seriously injured to a hospital, where he died around 1:30. The Homicide group of the Provincial Judicial Police Brigade of Valencia took charge of the investigation to clarify the circumstances of the death.
