A man is in critical condition after jumping from the balcony of a fourth floor in Barcelona, after having self-inflicted wounds with a knife a few minutes after stabbing three other people in the home, one of whom is in serious condition.

Sources from the Mossos d’Esquadra have explained that this incident took place early this Sunday morning, in an apartment in the building located at number 162 of Gran Via, in the Sants-Montjuic district of Barcelona. The police received a call from a girl alerting them of the incident, the causes of which are still beginning to be investigated, around 8:30.
Three men live in the home where the incident occurred. According to the first account from the mossos, one of them was in a room with his girlfriend. The alleged attacker suddenly burst into that room and wounded his roommate, who is in serious condition, and his girlfriend, who was slightly injured, with a knife. The commotion led the third occupant of the home to go to the room, where he was also slightly injured by his roommate. The police do not know the reasons that motivated the alleged attack.

The attacker, according to that first account, self-inflicted wounds. One of the victims called the Catalan police, who immediately went to the home. Upon arrival, they saw the man’s body fall from the fourth floor of the building.
Sources from the Mossos insist that this first account must now be verified and investigated. In fact, the police do not rule out any hypothesis about what happened.
