F1 Madrid GP Classification, live | Lando Norris achieves the first ‘pole’ at the Madrid circuit

The first qualifying session of the Spanish GP at the Madring circuit took place this afternoon and the pole position went to Lando Norris. The McLaren driver won the qualifying and will start first this Sunday after achieving a great lap on his last attempt to snatch the best time from the World Championship leader, Andrea Kimi Antonelli, who will start second. Verstappen was third, with Alonso and Sainz eliminated in Q1.

Hamilton currently leads the last session with the Mercedes drivers pressing behind, especially the World Championship leader, Andrea Kimi Antonelli. Verstappen is currently fifth, ahead of the McLarens, who occupy sixth and seventh place. We will see what happens in the last attempt of the day.
