What ultrasonic insect repellents have we chosen and how have we tested them?
Most electric repellers available on the market work using a combination of ultrasonic and electromagnetic waves. Even so, in this comparison, we have also included an option with 18 different ultrasonic waves. Likewise, the coverage of different models varies, so we have also selected different ranges in this section. To test these ultrasonic insect repellers, we started by checking their actual range in different rooms. The Repelix Armour ultrasonic repellent has been the model that gave me the best results in the tests, thanks to its real effectiveness in repelling a wide variety of pests and its different power levels. Although it is the most expensive and its coverage is not the largest, it offers very reliable and easy-to-manage performance at home.
Does it repel insects?
Despite being the most expensive model in the comparison, during the tests I found that the Repelis Armour ultrasonic insect repeller was my favorite. Its coverage of up to 140 square meters, although not the widest, is more than enough for most homes. In fact, it is effective against a large number of pests, such as mice, rats, spiders, mosquitoes, ants, insects, and flies.
It is true that it is only limited to a combination of two waves —ultrasonic and electromagnetic—, and that there are models with more options. However, it compensates for this with the possibility of choosing the required power level in each case: green light for silent mode; yellow light for adaptive frequency mode; and red light for maximum power mode. In practice, the device has been able to repel pests and create a truly insect-free environment.
Unlike other options, this repeller includes only two units. In this sense, it may lose coverage capacity, but the results are not affected within the range promised by the brand. Of course, the installation was very simple for me, as it is enough to plug each unit into the power outlet, preferably in areas with higher insect traffic. In addition, it is lightweight and portable, so you can take them on vacation or for weekends to a second home.
It should be noted that, while it is a safe device for use near children or pets, it can be harmful in homes where rodents are kept as pets. It is silent and very simple to use, although its effect is not immediate: it progressively reduces the presence of insects, without completely eliminating them.

Something I liked about the Envolme ultrasonic insect repeller is that it not only promises to repel mosquitoes, but also cockroaches, rodents, wasps —there are many in my garden— and other pests, thanks to its ultrasound technology. The pack includes four units, so I have placed them strategically in different rooms, just like with the other models participating in this comparison.
The best thing about these repellers is that they are very easy to use: you just plug them in and they start working, without needing to recharge or configure anything. According to the manufacturer, they emit ultrasound waves that affect the nervous system of insects and make them move away without the need for chemicals or traps. In addition, they are completely silent and do not emit odors. Each device has a coverage range of between 80 and 160 square meters, so its coverage is quite wide and allows covering several rooms at once.
In my experience, the first few days I didn’t see much difference, but after a couple of weeks I noticed a reduction in the number of mosquitoes, as well as wasps, because I placed one in the garden. Something I liked is that the design is discreet and does not clash with the decoration, so you can leave them plugged in without them attracting too much attention.

In conclusion, it is a product that does not work miracles, that is, it does not completely eliminate insects, but rather progressively reduces them. In addition, depending on the level of infestation, other complementary measures may be needed for better results. Another detail is that they must be left running 24 hours a day to remain effective.

Pest Reject Pro Ultrasonic Insect Repeller
The wide coverage and its extra features, such as a night light, are the details that stand out about the Pest Reject Pro ultrasonic repellent. Its effectiveness is progressive and generally correct, although it does not completely eliminate some pests and its price is somewhat high considering that it includes only one unit.
Does it repel insects?The Pest Reject Pro ultrasonic insect repeller uses a combination of ultrasound and electromagnetism technologies to repel pests, and its coverage is up to 300 square meters. I was surprised by its compact design and the inclusion of a built-in night light, which I found convenient as an auxiliary light. Installation was simple: I just plugged it into a power outlet and it was ready. As with the other models, during the first few weeks I didn’t notice significant changes, but later a decrease in the presence of mosquitoes and other insects began to be noticed.
However, I also observed some negative points. Despite the reduction in insects, I still noticed the occasional presence of cockroaches in the kitchen. Furthermore, although the device is safe for pets and children, it is recommended not to use it if you have rodent pets, which could be a limitation for some households. Another aspect to consider is that, although the manufacturer indicates that it does not need batteries or spare parts and works 24 hours a day, it must be continuously plugged in, so it consumes energy —albeit minimal—. In summary, my experience with the Pest Reject Pro has been mostly positive, although I believe its price is somewhat high considering that it is a single device and the rest of the models have four or six.

Even so, it reduces the presence of insects and is economical, with four units included, so it fulfills the basics without standing out.
Does it repel insects?
The biggest problem I found with the ZHVoyage ultrasonic insect repeller is that its coverage range is not specified. The only thing the brand clarifies is that it recommends installing it at a distance of between 20 and 80 cm from the floor. In addition, it is limited to only two types of waves —ultrasonic and electromagnetic— and does not allow any type of power adjustment, making it less versatile than other options in the comparison.
What is true is that I did notice a reduction in insects during the tests, so, in this sense, it is still a good choice. Its price also plays in its favor, as it is the most economical model, despite the fact that the pack includes four units to distribute them throughout different areas of the house. Of course, it is safe for children and pets, with the exception of rodents. However, the lack of control and its limited technical information detract from its appeal.
