A resident of Salt (Gironès) was shot and injured after three men entered his home yesterday Saturday, a disagreement occurred inside the house with another group, and everything ended in a shooting on the street. The victim was hit in the leg and was taken to the hospital, from where he has already been discharged. The Mossos d’Esquadra of the Citizen Security Unit (USC), who arrived at the scene, alerted the agents of the Criminal Investigation Division (DIC) of Girona, who took over the investigation to locate the perpetrators of the attack. At the moment, it is unknown exactly what happened inside the building.

The events took place around eight in the evening, according to sources close to the case, in an apartment on Moreneta street in the town of Girona. The initial investigations indicate that three men entered a home where there were three others and a dispute later broke out. The Mossos do not yet know the relationship between the two groups. The police suspect that they stole some valuable object from inside the building.
The dispute that started in the apartment escalated, and the tenants, who according to sources close to the case were Colombians, ran out, with the other three men chasing them. At that moment, in the middle of the street, one of the attackers shot one of those fleeing and hit him in the lower part of the leg. The attackers managed to get into a car and flee the scene.

The Emergency Medical System (SEM) personnel attended to the gunshot victim, who was taken to the Josep Trueta Hospital in Girona. Although at first the injury seemed more serious, they were able to treat him during the night and discharge him, according to the center.
The DIC agents conducting the investigation are taking statements from witnesses and reviewing surveillance cameras to see if they can shed light on the case. Although initially investigated as a robbery with violence, everything points to the possibility that there may be another motive behind the dispute between the two groups.
