The Mexican Army has arrested Audias Flores Silva in Nayarit, alias El Jardinero, one of the profiles mentioned to take control of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel after the death of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, El Mencho. The federal Secretary of Security, Omar García Harfuch, confirmed the arrest this Monday on social media. Harfuch pointed out that El Jardinero had an arrest warrant in Mexico and that “he is also wanted by United States authorities for extradition purposes.”

For the moment, it has not been revealed whether the drug trafficker will be sent across the border, as the Government of Claudia Sheinbaum has recently done with dozens of drug lords. Washington offered a five million dollar reward for his capture.
