A shooting recorded tonight in the town of Isla Cristina (Huelva) has resulted in at least three people dead. A man was seriously injured after being hit by the shots. According to Canal Sur and confirmed to Efe by sources close to the investigation, the shooting took place in the El Rocío neighborhood around 10:00 p.m. this Sunday, when two hooded men on a motorcycle opened fire on these people and fled.

Among the deceased are a pregnant woman, one of her children, and the mother of this woman, according to Huelva Información. The two occupants of a motorcycle, who were wearing balaclavas, approached the neighborhood and fired a burst of shots. The victims were left lying in the middle of the street, with emergency services unable to revive them.
The Civil Guard has taken charge of the investigations to clarify the circumstances of the incident, as well as to try to identify the alleged perpetrators. The main hypothesis being considered is a possible drug-related settling of scores.

According to initial hypotheses, this shooting may be related to another that occurred in the El Torrejón neighborhood of Huelva city on September 10, 2024. In that brawl, one person died and two others were seriously injured. The alleged perpetrator, known as El Baba, was arrested days later in Gijón, where the number 3 Court of the Asturian municipality ordered provisional detention, communicated and without bail as the alleged author of a murder and attempted murder. An incident after which several violent episodes followed in that area.
