The results of the Control Exam of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), for which nearly 58,000 applicants were called to retake in person after irregularities were detected in the online admission test, will be published this last weekend of August.

The schedule leaves little margin for the applicants, as UNAM plans for classes to begin on August 31 for new students, both for those who obtained a place through regulated admission and for those who participated in the selection contest.
When will the UNAM Control Exam 2026 results be published?
UNAM announced that the results will be published the last weekend of August, that is, between Saturday, August 29 and Sunday, August 30. Rector Leonardo Lomelí Vanegas explained that the selected individuals will be able to complete their enrollment process at their assigned faculty or school on Monday, August 31, the scheduled start date for classes.
This occurs shortly after two people were arrested for fraud in the UNAM entrance exam. These are two men who, according to authorities’ investigations, allegedly charged students to answer the exam questions on their behalf.
How to check the exam results?
The consultation must be done through the university’s official channels. The undergraduate admission process is managed through TU SITIO, the platform where applicants completed much of the contest procedures.
To check the result, you must log in with the previously established email and password. According to university authorities, students will be able to check their exam result, the faculty and degree to which they were assigned, as well as the enrollment process to follow. The rector estimated that six out of ten students who took the control exam will obtain a place in the so-called highest house of studies.
Who had to take the Control Exam?
The extraordinary test was called after UNAM detected irregularities in the online admission exam, held between May and June. At the end of July, the University reported that it had identified results it considered atypical and created a Technical Commission of Experts to review the undergraduate admission process. The group recommended applying an in-person exam that would allow verifying the results originally obtained. UNAM adopted the measure and established that the assignment of places for the called individuals would be determined by the result of this new test.
The Control Exam was applied between August 12 and 19 in four cities: León, Oaxaca, Tijuana, and Mexico City. In León, it took place on the 12th and 13th; in Oaxaca, on the 13th; in Tijuana, on the 15th and 16th; and in Mexico City, on the 17th, 18th, and 19th of August. The test consisted of 120 items and was conducted on tablets without internet connection, under in-person supervision. UNAM assured that mechanisms were implemented at all venues to guarantee the safeguarding and custody of the exams, as well as the results.
