The Supreme Court has limited the voting rights of beneficiaries of the grandchildren law this Tuesday. The Contentious-Administrative Chamber has partially granted the request made by Vox and the Iustitia Europa party to suspend the immediate registration in the electoral roll of those who have obtained nationality through the Democratic Memory Law, which grants Spanish status to descendants of exile and emigration. The high court has agreed to halt automatic registration in the roll, except in cases where consulates verify the status of being a child or grandchild of an exile.
